Douglas County Fire District #2, serves an area of approximately 100 sq. miles. District boundaries are: South to Grant/Douglas County border, North to Turtle Rock area, East to Badger Mtn. rim and West to the river. Within the districts boundaries the Department also protects the communities of East Wenatchee and Rock Island along with mutual aid to Chelan County and City of Wenatchee. Protecting a population of 50,000+ and 30 miles of the Columbia River.
The mission of Douglas County Fire District #2 is to provide protection of life, property and the environment. Accomplished through fire suppression, fire prevention education, rescue operations, emergency medical services and community involvement. With resources allocated and the authority granted we will provide to the citizens and visitors of Douglas County Fire District #2 quality- cost effective emergency services

2017 Scott FF Stairclimb
March 12th, DCFD#2 Firefighters will be joining nearly 2,000 other Firefighters in Seattle at the Columbia Tower for the 26th annual Scott Firefighter Stairclimb benefitting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. This is a Competitive fundraising race up the tower in full gear and breathing apparatus. Each year our team at DCFD#2, helps in the fight against blood cancers by doing our part in the efforts of raising over $2 million collectively for the event and also multiple team members posting top ten and top 100 times.
